Saturday Night Date Night

We finished off our Saturday evening with a movie and popcorn (our favourite date night).

Our Whirley Pop was one of our best purchases ever and we watched Crazy, Stupid, Love and I highly recommend it and a Whirley Pop for any date night! We laughed out loud a lot! 

But of course, before having popcorn and watching a movie, we went for a quick walk among some beautiful fall trees and along Sylvan Lake and then took a little ride to Eckville and back!

Like Mama Used To Make

Saturday morning, I woke up feeling like we needed something a little special to get our day started so I made oatmeal muffins.  I remember Keith and I waking up on Sunday mornings as kids to the smell of oatmeal muffins that Mom had made!  Travis was very appreciative to wake up to fresh out of the oven muffins! <3

I Dream Of Cake

For anybody who knows me well, you know that one of my favourite things in the world is CAKE!

I love eating cake, looking at cake, making cake!

So since my birthday is only 8 days away, I'm posting my birthday wish.

I have always wanted a custom cake for my birthday so maybe my wishes will come true this year!

Welcome Fall

Today, I officially wish to welcome Fall back into our lives for it's short period of time.  Up until now, our Alberta weather has blessed usp with lots sunshine and warm weather... not your typical fall weather.

Fall is definitely my favourite season because of it's beautiful colours, wonderful smells, falling leaves, being able to wear boots with skirts and dresses, scarves and cozy sweaters. 

Forewarning for those of you who hate cold weather: 

I will also happily welcome Winter into our lives at a later date!

Somebody's Trash is Another Person's Treasure

Last night, Travis, Nixon and I went for a bike ride by the lake.  It just so happened that we found ourselves on a street called Last Chance Way.  I guess it was a sign that it was a last chance for these 4 beauties.  We biked home, got in the truck and took these home with us.  All they need is a little TLC.  It just goes to show that somebody's trash is another's treasure... if nothing more... they will make for good fire wood!

Welcome to our Temple of Love

I couldn't think of a more appropriate name for our blog than the "Temple of Love" considering we will be getting married in 8 months and I will, no doubt, be taking Travis' last name with much pride and joy!
