Glimpse Into The Future

My jealous green monster has come out this week as my parents are back in Timmins for a visit with family.

Of course, they were the lucky ones who got a chance to visit with Byron and Melissa and their 5 week old lil' man Wade.

Byron, along with his parents Carol & Albert and brother Scott have been lifelong friends of our family.  The Riggs are like family to us, so of course I would like to welcome Wade Byron Rigg to our family and wish congratulations to all of the Riggs!

I told Mom and Dad that they had to take pictures so that I could see what my parents look like with a baby! :)  A little glimpse into the future of Grandparenthood!

Heartfelt Thank You

Travis and I would once again like to thank everyone who has been involved in the
"Chad Temple Play Park"

This play park is such a wonderful way to honour such a wonderful man.

We are so thankful that we have people in our lives that would go out of their way to make this happen.

We are certain that the children of the Waskada Community will enjoy the play park for many years to come and I'm certain they will be protected by Chad watching over them.

Special thanks to Debbie Temple and her family.  We are blessed to have you in our lives.

The Good Vs. The Bad

So Travis went away to go work in the field today... the first time in a long time that he's been away from home for work.

Feeling in much better spirits tonight, I made myself a delicious and healthy supper, cleaned up the house, moved some furniture around and had an awesome walk/run with Nixon.

I started to think of the positives and negatives of Travis being away and concluded the following:

THE GOOD

1. I get to hog the entire bed.
2. I get to sleep with fleece sheets and don't hear complaints that it's too hot!
3.  The house manages to stay clean... magic I think.
4.  A little extra $$$ in the bank account.

THE BAD

1. It's too quiet in the house.
2. Nixon misses his buddy.
3. I miss my best friend.
4. I have nobody to spend the extra $$$ with.

Damper No More

Maybe the cold weather has put a damper on my spirits this week because I've had no motivation to do anything.

In hopes that this post will help brighten my mood, I say again "A girl can dream can't she?"

I'm a lover country rustic charm with modern elements!

Right On Time

Happy Wednesday!

We made it half way through the week!

And making it's grand appearance, right on schedule, as it does every year within a couple days of my birthday, SNOW is here!  I'm sure it won't stick around, but just make a little teaser appearance for a short while.

This is the little bit of snow on the roof where I work! :)

Fringe Vs. No Fringe

For quite some time now, I have questioned whether I should get have bangs again or not.  I was really missing them, but was concerned about the wedding.

THE VERDICT:

I got my bangs cut and I LOVE them!  I am mad at myself for not doing it sooner and for thinking that I shouldn't have bangs for the wedding.  Moral of the story, do what you feel is best for you and what makes you feel like a million bucks!
